Welcome to the Circuits Zoo!

In the Circuits section you can find some discrete components electronic circuits I designed, that I hope you'll find interesting, or maybe give you some ideas for a new project...
Usually the complete schematics and, if available, the gerbers (in various formats, depending on the software I used to generate them) are included in a zip file in the Download section at the end of each page.
When a microcontroller is used, the source code is generally provided under a GPL license; however sometimes I may have used libraries that are released under different licenses, so please check before using or redistributing them.
In addition you will find some simple GNU Octave / Matlab scripts or LibreOffice Calc / Excel spreadsheets that you may find useful.

The Cadence section contains short tutorials and some tips for beginners about the popular Cadence EDA tools used in Integrated Circuit design (Virtuoso and Spectre).

The Linux section contains some Bash shell scripts I wrote over the years, usually to automate some simple but repetitive tasks.

Why the name Circuits Zoo ?

The name comes from the hodgepodge of circuits you will find here, like the mix of different animals you find at the zoo, and also from a chapter of the book "Analog Circuits: World Class Designs" titled "The Zoo Circuit".
